An Interview with Mr V

Nguyen: How have the games been going?

Mr V: Great! We have had a couple of really close games and all the teams are enjoying it. The first game was a beauty - a two point win. Some are playing well and others show lots of potential.

Nguyen: Any talent out there?

Mr V: I've seen lots of players before and a couple of teams have really strong players but I won't mention too many names. I've seen some Year 7 kids who I didn't know about - Osly, Ben and Cathy have excelled in their first game and Thy's rebounding yesterday was outstanding.

Nguyen: Any further comment?

Mr V: I'm really pleased to see older students getting involved as coaches. Some teams have two coaches. It adds to the fun and enjoyment for all. Go the Cup!

Report by Wilson:

Yesterday was a magnificent game between Elmo's Crew and the Geeks. Lots of sweat was taken out of every player on both sides. The first basket was scored by the Crew and then minutes later with an amazing come back, the Geeks scored two two-pointers. In the second half I scored a lucky shot. It was really tough. Many more baskets were scored and in the end the score was 20-8 to the Geeks.

Semi Finals

The Noobs went down in glory. They played the LM team which is a much taller team. The shorter Noobs were still good enough to challenge the taller players. The Noobs have great team work and managed to draw level with the LMs. Since the LM team members are tall, their defence is hard to knock down.
Andy and Brandon

On Thursday 14th June it was the most memorable game ever. DOB and ‘What’ competed with all their might. The crowd was huge, some were standing, some were sitting, all wanting to watch the game. The game started off by Raymond and Vinh jumping for the ball. The first goal was by Osly. Even though it was raining, the two teams insisted on playing. Both teams were determined to get to the final, but DOB just missed out. Thanks to JK, the scorer, and Sir Etten, the referee.
