The "M.V. Douglas Mosaic" is located on the western wall of the courtyard at the entrance to the School's Administration Block. It was constructed from tiles, some donated by local tile companies and some purchased, in 1978-9, with the hope that it would "create interest in the history of the local area and foster appreciation of school surroundings". Work by students and teachers amounted to a massive 1700 hours. It is in excellent condition more than 20 years later, and is appreciated by students, staff and visitors. <Back to Information about the school> < Back to 'Cool Schools' > |
