(i) Withdrawal of GAT students following this procedure –
- faculties devise programs for GAT students

- recognition of students for participation in GAT
(ii) Enrichment – This occurs in the regular classroom where the
student is encouraged to:
- further develop interests
- build on existing interests
- amplify knowledge in one area
- challenge themselves with activities that demand a high level of thought
(iii) Acceleration – this may be done in one or more subjects. It
involves constant monitoring and is only administered after a total analysis
of the student’s social and academic well being.
(iv) Use of faculty/school resources – This includes programs for
gifted and talented students which must take into account; content, learning
experiences, resources, schedules and evaluation. Some of the activities
presently being used are:
- Debating
- Faculty Competitions
- Performing Arts Concerts
- Representative Sports Teams
- Business Week
- Drama Ensembles
- Visual Arts Exhibition
- Band, Choir and Music Camps
- Presentations/Items on Assemblies

(v) School Organisation Level – Streamed classes exist
in most subject areas, providing a differentiated program
A High Achievers class, for Gifted students operates in the Year 9 / 10
elective lines
(vi) Using community resources – Includes such things as
Regional Music Festivals, Business Links, Local Associations
